1) You cannot control everything

Forgiveness is the highest of human virtues. It helps to develop positive self-esteem, improve mood and health.

4) Spend more of your time with people who do not overthink things

Your social environment plays an important role in your overthinking. Not only the people or groups close to your life but also what you read, watch and listen to. So try to spend more time with the people that have a positive effect on your thinking and give less attention on that tends to strengthen your overthinking habit.

5) Workout and Meditation

Working out especially lifting weights can help to let go inner tensions and all your worries. Meditation helps to control your mind and thoughts, we feel mentally fresh and we are able to deal with difficult situations more easily and makes your life happy.

6) Distract yourself

Whenever you find yourself thinking, again and again, engage yourself in some activities. It will distract your mind and prevent you from overthinking. Do some work you are interested in such as playing games, watching movies, cooking etc. Make yourself busy in something will help to stop overthinking.

Sometimes you are afraid of doing something new because your overthinking led you to believe you would fail. You continue to remember your past failure.
